ISO 15362 pdf download.Optics and optical instruments — Stereomicroscopes — Information provided to the user 1 Scope This International Standard specifies the minimum information to be provided by the manufacturer of stereomicroscopes to the user. In addition to the mandatory information (m), further data are recommended (r). 2 Normative reference The following normative document contains provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this International Standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments to, or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, parties to agreements based on this International Standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent edition of the normative document indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document referred to applies. Members of ISO and IEC maintain registers of currently valid International Standards. ISO 1 1 883 Optics and optical instruments — Microscopes — Marking of stereomicroscopes 3 Data to be provided by the manufacturer 3.1 General The following data shall be provided by the stereomicroscope manufacturer when the respective assemblies feature the properties described. The format of the data shall be in accordance with ISO 1 1 883. 3.2 General data concerning the stereomicroscope (m) Magnification; (m) Zoom range or number of discrete steps; (m) Object field diameter; (m) Free working distance d 1 (see figure 1 ); (r) Numerical aperture. NOTE These data can be compiled as shown in table 1 . Where magnifications are changeable, all data should be given for the minimum and maximum values. 3.3 Main body including tube (m) Binocular or trinocular tube; (m) Interpupillary distance adjustment range, in millimetres; (m) Inclination angle α of the viewing direction (see figure 1 ); (r) Dioptre adjustment; (r) Distance d 2 from the exit pupil to the mechanical front of the main body (see figure 1 ); (r) Distance d 3 from the exit pupil to the optical axis (see figure 1 ); (r) Focal length of the tube lens, in millimetres (if any). 3.4 Objective (if removable or switchable) (m) Magnification or focal length; (m) Free working distance d 1 (see figure 1 ). 3.5 Eyepieces (m) Magnification; (m) Field of view; (r) Interchangeability of graticules; (r) Suitability for spectacle wearers; (r) Dioptre adjustment.
